Change of Alert LevelsWed Feb 17 04:49am
It was great news to hear we are moving to Alert Level 1 so quickly. While new cases in the community are always disappointing to hear of, it is reassuring to see how quickly they have been identified. I am sure we are all grateful for the efforts of our health workers, scientists and technicians in this regard, and the thousands of people who have been tested.
As a community we need to avoid the complacency which New Zealanders tend to quickly move into when we are at lower alert levels. Please do continue to scan QR codes and monitor closely for illness within your whānau.
Our focus as always will be to support the learning, safety and wellbeing of our tamariki and we continue to be here to support you too.
You will be able to enter the playground again tomorrow. Please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or me, if there is something you need assistance with.
Children who are unwellSun Feb 14 10:12pm
We have noticed children coming to school with notes to say they can’t swim because they have a cold. If your child is not well enough to swim they should not be at school.
The main message from the Ministries of Health and Education is: Stay home if you are sick.
This is really important at any alert level and we ask you to support us as we endeavour to keep everyone safe at this time.
COVID19 Level 2 form Midnight tonight. Please read the following information. These processes will be starting TOMORROW morningSun Feb 14 07:04am
COVID19- Alert Level 2 Midnight tonight until midnight Wednesday
From midnight tonight we are back in Alert level 2. This means at Sacred Heart School the following will be in place:
· Only come into school if it is necessary. You MUST come through the office and sign in.
· Tui parents can come in but must sign in the Tui register.
· Please drop your children outside the gate and pick them up from outside the gate. Junior children will come out slightly earlier to the gate.
· Everyone is to come in the main gate
· Children will be reminded of their “Moist breath zone” and to keep their personal hygiene practices going.
· All children MUST have their own named drink bottle
We encourage you to keep using the Covid19 QR code when you come into school as this will help with contact tracing should it become necessary.
Please download our School App and the HERO app and please read any messages we send you.
Depending on what happens with Alert levels there may be some processes in place for Touch and Netball. We will inform you if this is necessary
